Welcome to the Friends of the Orchard Park Public Library.
The Friends is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that adds financial support to the Orchard Park Public Library so it can thrive well into the future by:
• Enhancing the library’s budget for programs and materials
• Purchasing books, equipment and furniture
• Sponsoring the 4th Tuesday Speaker Series
• Sponsoring children’s programs
• Organizing book sales at the library and online
We welcome and encourage community involvement through membership, book donations, financial contributions and volunteer opportunities. To learn more about becoming a Friend, please click here.
The Friends sponsor a wide variety of programs at the Orchard Park Public Library, all of which are free to the public. Every fourth Tuesday from September through May, we invite speakers to give presentations on a wide variety of interesting subjects. To learn more about the 4th Tuesday Speaker Series, please click here. The Friends also sponsor many of the Children’s Programs throughout the year in an effort to engage youngsters and teenagers in the library and the world around them.
We are able to provide all of these programs and support through various means of fundraising including book sales held at the library, online book sales on eBay, the Book Nook, Book Carts, financial donations and membership contributions. Donations of books and other materials are always accepted. For more on how to donate materials to the Friends, please click here.
When visiting the library, please be sure to take a look at our bulletin board in the lobby, next to the glass display case.
Our library is a shared, community space and we ask that all visitors respect one another. To that end, please take a look at the newly revised Code of Conduct for the Orchard Park Public Library.
